His contract will become fully valid when the player will be able to consistently work with the team without missing practices, CSKA said in an official statement. Korobkov (2.06 meters, 26 years old) missed the entire 2016-17 season due to injury.

He averaged 3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 14 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games in the 2015-16 season, helping CSKA win the title. Korobkov also helped CSKA win the VTB League in 2015 and 2016, shooting the ball with outstanding percentages: 66.6% inside the arc (112-of-168) and 53.8% from downtown (21-of-39), and reach the EuroLeague Final Four in 2015, too. He started his career in the Russian U23 league, playing for Ural Great and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Korobkov also played for Nizhny Novgorod before joining CSKA in 2014. He has also been a member of the Russian national team. Korobkov also helped Nizhny reach the 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals and the VTB League finals in 2014.
