He started his career in the Russian U23 league, playing for Ural Great and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Korobkov also played for Nizhny Novgorod before joining CSKA in 2014. He has also been a member of the Russian national team. Korobkov also helped Nizhny reach the 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals and the VTB League finals in 2014.
