A University of Missouri graduate (2010-13), Pressey was not drafted, but the Boston Celtics offered him a contract and he played a total of 125 games over two seasons with them (2013-15).
In 2015/16, he was part of the Philadelphia 76ers (14 games), Phoenix Suns (9 games) and also played 31 times for the Idaho Stampede in the D-League, averaging 13.7 points.
He spent the previous season at the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s affiliate in the D-League. In 46 appearances, Pressey averaged 18 points, 5.3 rebounds and 8.1 assists in 33 minutes per game.
