Fenerbahce officially announced the addition of American forward/center Jason Thompson to a one-year deal.
The 31-year-old player will replace Final Four MVP Ekpe Udoh, now a Utah Jazz player, on the roster of the Turkish team. He’s never played in Europe before, thus he’s expected to make his EuroLeague debut with his new team.
Thompson carries an NBA experience of eight seasons with the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and the Toronto Raptors. He spent the previous season with the Shandong Golden Suns in the Chinese League.
In his last season in the NBA, he averaged 4.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game.
