Kevin Seraphin and Barcelona have reached a two-year deal, as reported by Chema de Lucas of Gigantes Del Basket.

The Blaugrana have been quite interested in the international French forward/center, considering him the ideal option to pair with Ante Tomic in their front-line lineup. When Seraphin was waived by the Pacers, they made their move and quickly reached an agreement with him for the next two seasons.

Seraphin has received permission from the French Basketball Federation in order to take a small break from the national team’s training camp ahead of the EuroBasket and travel to Barcelona for the necessary medical examinations on Thursday (3/8).

When the contracts are signed he will officially become the third French player of the two-time EuroLeague champions, together with Thomas Heurtel and Adrien Moerman.

Seraphin, 27, averaged 5.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 15 minutes per game throughout seven years in NBA. He posted 4.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in 2016/2017. He previously played in the Spanish League in 2011 when he joined Baskonia during the NBA lockout.
