After being drafted in the second round as the 50th pick in the 2017 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, Mathias Lessort who is currently taking part in the French NT training camp will continue his career at Belgrade.
The French big man signed a three year deal, which includes manageable NBA outs every summer and he will have the chance to make his EuroLeague debut next season.
It’s win-win situation for Zvezda which gets a young talent much needed for the roster of the upcoming season and in the future will probably have the chance to also get money back from him, via the NBA buy out, if everything goes as planned.
