With a post on his social media, Hanga addressed his transfer to Barcelona, after the saga which surrounded his name this summer.
“As a professional athlete, sometimes you need a change to improve. So when the opportunity comes along, you got to grab it. Like when I had the Spurs guaranteeing me a contract and a spot in the team. Everyone knows that my primary goal was going to the NBA. Obviously I was disappointed it didn’t work out, but that’s the thing with the NBA, promises aren’t kept”, he mentions.
He proceeds with thanking Baskonia: “The past two years were amazing. I was very proud to be Baskonia‘s captain and I gave my everything to make the team better. Playing in front of 15.000 fans in Fernando Buesa Arena is an indescribable feeling”, he reminiscens.
“I’m very happy to be joining one of the biggest clubs on Earth. Honored to represent and be part of such a successful organization”, he comments on his transfer to Barcelona.
