The veteran power forward had a contract with EuroLeague champions Fenerbahce Dogus for next season. However, as it was evident from the way last season ended, he was not part of the team’s plans.
Zvezda, on the other hand, needed a big man, Antic is a fan of the Serbian club since his childhood, so it was a match made in heaven.
All three sides wanted the deal to happen, so it was only a matter of time for the announcement to happen. Zvezda confirmed the transfer and Antic returns to the team where he had played from 2005 to 2007
Pero Antic won twice the EuroLeague as a member of Olympiacos and for a third time with Fenerbahce. He has played also in the NBA as a member of the Atlanta Hawks.
