It took Nikola Milutinov less than 19 minutes to score 16 points and grab 8 rebounds as Olympiacos defeated Crvena Zvezda 70 – 56 for the preparation tournament taking place in Heraklion, Crete.
Red Star struggled big time to connect to the basket, save of the scoring efforts of Milko Bjelica (16 points) and newcomer Matthias Lessort (14 points). It was obvious that Dusan Alimpijevic’s players need some time to build a sufficient chemistry.
For Olympiacos, Brian Roberts added 10 points plus 5 rebounds while Dimitris Agravanis scored 8. The 2017 EuroLeague finalists will now face Maccabi Tel Aviv that beat Unics Kazan earlier.
