Baskonia announced that Georgian power forward Tornike Shengelia suffered a Grade 2 ankle sprain in last night’s prep game against Hapoel Jerusalem.
The club doesn’t mention a specific recovery time, stating that the day-to-day evolution of his rehabilitation will determine exactly when he returns to courts.
Shengelia, 25, extended his contract with Baskonia until the end of the 2019-2020 season back in June.
Last season he averaged 10.8 points and 4.9 rebounds in 20:48 minutes per game during 24 EuroLeague matches.
