“Our preparation period was difficult, we had lots of absences and lots of games in the last few days, but my players lived up to the expectations”, Obradovic stated during the Euroleague media day.
Fenerbahce comes to the new season as defending champions. Obradovic is aware of how this will affect the team this season: “The challenge is big this year. EuroLeague is already difficult and becomes ever more tough for us, because all teams will play tougher against us as we’re the reigning Euroleague champions”.
He also didn’t forget to talk about two of last season’s key players, Ekpe Udoh and Bogdan Bogdanovic: “We want to thank Udoh and Bogdanovic for all they have offered and we wish them good luck. Though there are new players in the team now. The board has done its best to reinforce the team’s squad”.
