At this point it’s hard to predict the possible outcome of the meeting, even if most EuroLeague clubs don’t like the idea of the qualifying windows with Zeljko Obradovic being the latest coach to publicly demonstrate his disagreement. However it remains to be seen if a change in the EuroLeague schedule can be done after the decision of FIBA to change its own schedule of the national team games by one day.
The meeting was scheduled last week, before the latest change in FIBA’s schedule. This is expected to be the main subject of discussion and expansion talks are not yet on the agenda, even if EuroLeague CEO Jordi Bertomeu himself recently talked about an 18-club format from next season.
