Valencia showcased a lot of energy in the third period, overpowering their visitors. Even when the Turkish side attempted a comeback, they held their ground: “I think that our job on defense in the third quarter was great. It is true that we didn’t have the same balance in the fourth quarter, not on offense, especially on offense.”
The coach appeared optimistic on the win, yet insists that the team has still some way to go and get better: “We are very happy with this win and know we have a lot of things to improve. Getting our first EuroLeague win in the second round is great for us. I think that our first and third quarters are what we want, but our second and fourth quarters are two to improve.”
