After yesterday’s press conference and the resignation of Pablo Prigioni, Baskonia traveled to Germany for the game against Brose Bamberg with Valdeolmillos being the head coach. As he said to the press: “I spoke with Pablo and tried to change his mind, but we have to respect his decision”.
However, Valdeolmillos was not the only one who spoke with Prigioni. Several players visited Prigioni’s home as local reporter Robero Arrillaga twitted.
It remains to be seen if Prigioni’s decision can be changed, or if Baskonia will have to accept it and move on. The real good news for Baskonia is that American guard Jordan McRae traveled with the rest of the team and he is expected to make his EuroLeague debut against Brose Bamberg.
