Brose Bamberg got their second victory in Euroleague after starting the season with two losses as they beat Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz 78-72.
“Last year we couldn’t win two games in the same week in the Euroleague so this is the next step for us. We are still making mistakes, especially in the defense, but we are improving. Luckily the mistakes didn’t cost us the game tonight”, said coach Andrea Trinchieri to the press after the game.
Newcomer Dorell Wright was the man of the game for the German team tonight, with 13 points and 5 rebounds.
“Dorell helped us a lot tonight especially in spreading the floor. He was being very helpful on both sides of the court. You saw the obvious things, such as scoring, but I saw the man who knows how to play defense and who knows where he should be at any moment”, Trinchieri concluded.
