Barcelona is forced by a court of law to reinstate Joey Dorsey back on the team or pay his entire contract salary plus €25.000 in moral damages as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
Dorsey appealed to the court to protest against getting released the club back in January 2017 for disciplinary reasons. He had signed a two-year contract with the Blaugrana in summer 2016.
Barcelona has the option to readmit Dorsey and assign him to “Barca B” squad, where Tyrese Rice also plays, or pay him a sum around €1.5 M (calculating last season’s contract, this season’s salaries, judicial costs, and the above compensation) effective immediately.
