Sito Alonso believes that everyone should put behind the consecutive defeats that Barcelona suffered in the last weeks and focus on what comes next, following the blowout victory over Olympiacos.
“Even when we win, we talk about the times we were losing the games. We want to forget the past. We had 10 difficult days for us, now we have time to work, to practice, and we have played much better, especially on defense. It was a consistent performance, especially against Olympiacos, which is one of the best teams. They are always able to get back in any game, and we had patience when we were up by eight or 10 points, and they tried to get back. We played well all 40 minutes without forgetting our rules on defense,” Alonso said during the post-game presser.
“We are especially happy today because playing against Olympiacos is always difficult. They are always in the game, and winning by this margin is difficult against these players they have. I am happy for our players and supporters, and this is the way to keep competing in this competition,” Alonso added.
