Xavi Pascual was more than pleased with the way his players performed in the team’s first road victory of the 2017-2018 EuroLeague campaign, one that arrived against arch-rival Olympiacos on the road.
“We are happy about this win. I think we did an excellent job tonight. First of all with a great level of mentality. We played great defense tonight and controlled what we wanted on offense. We had some problems at the end of the second and beginning of the third quarter. On offense, we played smart with one opponent that we know it’s very difficult to play him one on one.”
“I always use 10 players. Sometimes we have some internal problems, sometimes we have injuries. After one year here you know that the coach of Panathinaikos is a coach that never complains about anything always find a way to win.”

We played a good game in general and we had control. We didn’t win because of 2-3 mistakes near the end. But we played better tonight. We have played four away games and two at home. Our schedule was incredible.
“Lukas Lekavicius showed us that he has character. That’s why we decided to sign him. He had his best game tonight.”
