Matt Janning signed with Baskonia and the American guard will stay with the team until the end of season!
The two sides reached the final agreement today (17/11) as Eurohoops has reported on Thursday night and Baskonia announced.
The American sharpshooter had initially signed a short-term contract with the Basques that expires on November 19. Yet his recent performances, particularly since Pedro Martinez became the team’s head coach, convinced the club that it is essential that he should remain on board.
Janning, 29, has averaged 13.2 points shooting 10/19 from beyond the arc in the last four EuroLeague games, helping his team improve to a 3-5 record after a rough 0-4 entrance in the competition.
Throughout his career, Janning has also played in such EuroLeague clubs as Montepaschi Siena, Anadolu Efes and Lokomotiv Kuban. With the latter, he reached the 2016 EuroLeague Final Four.
