Olympiacos captain Vassilis Spanoulis has been increasing the workload he puts in practices and there is a strong possibility that he will travel with the rest of the squad to Spain for the upcoming EuroLeague game against Valencia, Thursday (30/11).

The final decision will be taken tomorrow (28/11) since the Greek combo guard has been out since early October due to a problem on his left knee.

Spanoulis has yet to debut in EuroLeague this season and his only official game thus far was the Greek Cup Quarterfinal vs Faros Larissa.

Giorgos Printezis and Dimitris Agravanis stayed out of today’s practice of Olympiacos as did Vangelis Mantzaris who has been sidelined indefinitely in order to successfully rehabilitate from a left leg injury.

In the meantime, Valencia announced that team captain Rafa Martinez has returned to practices after recovering from a gastrointestinal viral infection that kept him out of last week’s EuroLeague game Brose Bamberg.

Olympiacos is tied with CSKA Moscow at the first place of the EuroLeague standings with a 7 – 2 record while Valencia is 12th with 3-6.
