During his official presentation by Baskonia, American power forward Kevin Jones emphasized on the fact that he’s not thinking much of how to extend his short-term contract, preferring to focus on how to help his team get the results they want.
“I think it’s important for me to play well, but the most important thing is that the team wins. Renewing or not, isn’t important now,” Jones said.
“I want to be part of this. We can do well and play an important role in EuroLeague. This is a great opportunity to play in a club as big as Baskonia. One that has had great successes in the past. I hope to contribute to the successes of the future,” he added.
When asked what he can bring on the floor for Baskonia, Jones replied that “I’m a team player. I can do everything the coach asks me to do. I rebound well, I shoot the ball…”
Jones is expected to make his debut with the Basques in tomorrow’s (30/11) EuroLeague game against reigning champ Fenerbahce in Vitoria.
