While Vassilis Spanoulis was expected to make his debut in the road game of Olympiacos against Valencia, some disturbances won’t allow him to step on the floor.
“I’m going through a strenuous effort this last two months,” Spanoulis said for NovaSports TV. “I’m not used to gettting injured but it’s a part of the sport. I’m now in a state of rehabilitation. My leg needs some time to recover. We’re still in November and I won’t risk anything. I’ve begun training with the team after two months. Everything hurts, except from the part where you have the problem.
“Like I said, this is a difficult period for me but I will definitely be back stronger, like everywhere in my life,” he added.
The three-time EuroLeague champion and Final Four MVP also commented that, “I’ve never done so much patience in my life. I’ve never been through something like this. It’s not something to be worried about, maybe it needs some more days. We’re still early in the season and I don’t won’t to take any risks so I will be able to return and help my team the way I should.”
“I thank everyone for their support. I know that everyone is waiting to see me back on the floor. If they wait for me once, I’m waiting for it a thousand times.”
