VOTE for the best dunker in EuroLeague! We bring you the candidates and you decide!

By John Rammas/ irammas@eurohoops.net

Eurohoops composed the Top 5 dunkers in the competition and invites its readers to vote for the best… flyer!

Mathias Lessort (Crvena Zvezda), Will Clyburn (CSKA Moscow), Jan Vesely (Fenerbahce), Tyler Honeycutt (Khimki) & Kenny Gabriel (Panathinaikos) are the possible choices, while, as it happens in these cases, objections are also accepted (see Other).

Scroll down for the poll and the presentation of the candidates…

LESSORT, MATHIAS
CRVENA ZVEZDA MTS BELGRADE
CENTER, 2.06
29 SEPTEMBER, 1995
FRANCE

9.4 pts | 5.7 rbs | 0.5 as | 0.6 st | 1.1 bl | 1.6 to | 22:14 min | 11.5 PIR

In his first season in the EuroLeague, he has managed to become a… pillar in Crvena Zvezda’s game and to combine this with plenty of spectacle. He might have had to wait for #50 (Sixers) to hear his name in the last draft, but it didn’t take us long to… invite him to the Top 5 dunkers in the EuroLeague.

CLYBURN, WILL
CSKA MOSCOW
FORWARD, 2.01
17 MAY, 1990
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

13 pts | 5.7 rbs | 1.6 as | 1.1 st | 0.2 bl | 1.2 to | 28:59 min | 15.6 PIR

Just one season in the EuroLeague was more than enough for him to… introduce himself to the fans of the competition and to earn a transfer from Darussafaka to CSKA Moscow. Irrespective of his jersey’s colors, his… flights remain frequent and are as impressive.

VESELY, JAN
FENERBAHCE DOGUS ISTANBUL
CENTER, 2.13
24 APRIL, 1990
CZECH REPUBLIC

13.8 pts | 4.4 rbs | 1.7 as | 1 st | 0.9 bl | 1.5 to | 29:45 min | 16.9 PIR

He’s in a class of his own and despite the fact that he’s getting older, his jumping ability is still the same as it was in his first term in the EuroLeague (Partizan 2008-11). Fenerbahce’s opponents are… sick of seeing him… fly over them.

HONEYCUTT, TYLER
KHIMKI MOSCOW REGION
FORWARD, 2.03
15 JULY, 1990
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

7 pts | 5 rbs | 3 as | 0 st | 0 bl | 1 to | 17:08 min | 11 PIR

Better late than… later, he’s back in action and now he can do what he knows very well: offer substance and spectacle. There weren’t many highlights in his first apperance of his second stint at Khimki (the other was 2015-16) but… no worries, last season’s will do.

GABRIEL, KENNY
PANATHINAIKOS SUPERFOODS ATHENS
FORWARD, 2.05
3 JULY, 1989
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

2.3 pts | 1.8 rbs | 0.2 as | 0.1 st | 0.4 bl | 0.4 to | 9:30 min | 0.8 PIR

He plays less compared to last season and lately defense seems to suit him better than offense, but, despite this, when the situation calls for it, he can dunk in the best way. The videos speak for themselves…
