Before traveling to Greece for Friday’s (8/12) EuroLeague game against Olympiacos, Real Madrid head coach Pablo Laso revealed that Anthony Randolph’s return is expected no sooner than 2018.
“Randolph’s recovery is going regularly. He made a lot of effort to play in Vitoria but he had a fracture. The way he was playing against Barcelona, we thought it wasn’t a fracture. It wasn’t something traumatic because he wanted to keep playing but when you’re broken, you’re broken“, Laso said per Marca.
“I am not very optimistic about the next two weeks. I don’t see it (Randolph’s return) close. I think he will play in January. I am not optimistic about December. He has to fully recover,” the Spanish coach added.
Laso said that 13 players are traveling to Piraeus for the match vs the Reds, with Jeffery Taylor and Rudy Fernandez included in the squad.
