Valencia is in Tel Aviv for tonight’s (7/12) EuroLeague match against Maccabi and is experiencing “great concern” about what is taking place in Israel after Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the country’s capital, La Provincia reports.
The Spanish team and the journalists that traveled to cover the match are residing in a hotel 75 KM away from Bethlehem, in the Palestinian zone, where riots have already begun. The US embassy, located few meters far from the hotel has increased security measures after Hamas called for a third Intifada for the recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.
La Provincia clearly mentions that the tension hasn’t affected Valencia so far but they are all still “greatly concerned” for what is happening in Jerusalem.
