Pedro Martinez seemed satisfied after Baskonia‘s win in its 400th game in EuroLeague: “We had a splendid start but we weren’t able to maintain that rhythm. We suffered a lot, especially in the second half. We weren’t very fresh in our ball movement at times.”
“I think this win came more from our hearts than from our tactics. We need to improve in some areas, particularly defense. I am very happy for the character that the players showed, especially when Unicaja was four points above us”.
Unicaja‘s head coach Joan Plaza expressed that he thinks that they will start a winning streak soon because of the way they are playing:
“Our main desire was to come here to win and we were close to that. What we really wanted was to compete and we have done it. We have been able to improve our game although we have to continue improving. We had a really bad start losing by 15 points although we were able to come back and even go ahead the point difference was too much”.
