In a quite impressive performance, Crvena Zvezda mts defeated Anadolu Efes 100 – 81 in Belgrade. With their second consecutive victory, the Serbians improved to a 4-7 while Velimir Perasovic’s men fell to 3-8 in EuroLeague standings.
Crvena Zvezda managed to end an even first quarter with a 29 – 23 lead thanks to a three-point rampage. The hosts scored five shots beyond the arc in the first ten minutes and they continue dropping threes in the second. James Feldeine scored 15 points without a miss to reach the biggest lead of the half (45 – 33, 16′). Despite the Dominican, Efes was trailing by just six points at the half.
The key: Efes disconnected from the game starting the third quarter. A 0 – 7 run made it close again for a while but turnovers continue falling for the away side. With one quarter left the Turkish were down by double digits (74 – 62).
The guests tried to reduce the deficit with individual plays but back-to-back three-pointers made the difference too big to overcome. The Aleksandar Nikolic Hall enjoyed a comfortable ending.
The star: James Feldeine led the winners with career-high 29 points. Taylor Rochestie contributed with 11 points and Ognjen Dobric and Nemanja Dangubic added 10 each.
Not enough: Zoran Dragic paced the guests with 12 points in the first half (14 in total) and Bryant Dunston shined in the second half. The big man finished with 16 points and 4 rebounds.
