After his team’s comeback victory over Olympiacos, Brose Bamberg head coach Andrea Trinchieri praised his players’ resilience, fighting attitude and… guts they showed down the stretch.
“We suffered their organization a lot. But my players… they have one thing. They have balls,” Trinchieri said during the post-game presser. “They believed in themselves. They found extra energy and motivation. Basically, they found a way to win the game. The guards were great on fighting on defense under the basket.”
“It was a battle of nerves. The 3-point shot of Aug (Augustine Rubit) changed the momentum of the game. I have to thank my coaching staff because that was their idea. They suggested this and it worked. Bravo also to the coaching staff. Another unbelievable win. Which is hard to enjoy on this difficult schedule,” added the Italian coach.
