In just the second EuroLeague game he stepped on the floor following his return from an injury that kept out for months and also cost him the participation in the EuroBasket, Nikola Kalinic saw luck turning its back to him once more.
With less than two minutes left in the first quarter of the game against Maccabi in Tel Aviv, the Fenerbahce forward jumped in a defensive attempt to stop a drive by Jonah Bolden but fell on the hardwood and hurt his ankle in the process.
Kalinic went to the locker rooms where he stayed for the remainder of the game.
