Brose Bamberg was defeated by Real Madrid after a bad first quarter and the result made coach Andrea Trinchieri furious.
The Italian didn’t hide his mood: “We played a bad game. It’s one of the few times that my team doesn’t fight and that’s bad. If you allow yourself to think that you are tired you are gonna be tired, it’s very simple. I believe that we lost the game in the first four minutes where we didn’t play defense and we didn’t play offense. The fans don’t deserve this kind of games. Excuses and explanations are for losers. Everybody is tired and you need to find the way to manage it. I believe that the best way to coach is to say the truth. The truth is that we were bad today. That’s it.”
On the other side, Pablo Laso seemed pleased with his team attitude and the victory:”We started very concentrate at the beginning, we played very smartly defensively, we didn’t let them get the rhythm and we controlled the rebounds. We knew we had nothing done and we kept fighting the same way the forty minutes“.
