As coach Plaza said after the end of the game: “When you play as many games as we did, there are some kind of breaks and streaks. You are losing and winning games in a row. We need to use this rhythm to get wins at home, with one road win in Barcelona in between. Right now we need to grow game by game. We have Maccabi in front of us, we need to prepare for this road game as best we can. We can begin to dream [about the playoffs], but we know how tough it is in this EuroLeague.”
And speaking about the playoffs, Jeff Brooks who had a great game with 14 points and 11 assists added: “There are no easy games in this league. Everybody made a step up in the second half. We knew they were stopping us from running our transition, as well as playing their game. And we were out of rhythm. We continued to play hard, and the best thing we did was step it up on defense. That’s where we get our heart, that’s where we get our spirit. And that’s what happened in the second half for us to win the game. The crowd got into it, we got some big stops, and we ended up winning the game. That’s a good team there, they did what they were supposed to do, but we did what we were supposed to do to win this big game.”
