Valencia guard Guillem Vives will undergo surgery next Tuesday (2/1) in Barcelona in order to fix some persistent problems on his left ankle, the club announced.
The Spanish player has been facing these issues since the previous season. Recently, he developed bursitis on his knee that kept him out of the EuroLeague games vs Valencia and Panathinaikos.
Vives averages 4.7 points and 4 assists in 19 minutes per game in EuroLeague. Valencia stands at a 4-11 record following last night’s victory over Panathinaikos that snapped a 10-game losing streak.
