Panathinaikos guard Nikos Pappas is considered highly doubtful for the upcoming EuroLeague game against Anadolu Efes, Thursday (4/1).
The 27-year-old player suffered a right-ankle sprain during his team’s loss in last week’s match vs Valencia (29/12) and he’s been following an intense therapy treatment these last days to exhaust all possibilities of making it vs Efes.
Pappas has been averaging 9.6 points in 18:16 minutes per game in EuroLeague, helping Panathinaikos to a 10 – 5 record after the first leg of the regular season.
Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes is expected to travel to Athens at almost full strength since only captain Dogus Balbay out. The Turkish team is 4 – 11 and in the last place of the standings.
