Real Madrid got the victory in its 56th European matchup with Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv (93- 81). “Los Blancos” jumped to a 10-6 record while the Israeli powerhouse was defeated for the eighth time this season. Real didn’t need Luka Doncic’s beast mode to increase its winning streak to five games.
The key: Luka Doncic wasn’t having a big impact on the game but Real Madrid managed to get the job done with the young NBA prospect on the bench. Pablo Laso’s men won the third period 21 – 10 and headed the last quarter with a comfortable lead which they kept until the end.
The star: Facundo Campazzo was all over the floor in the second half. The Argentinian paced Real Madrid in an offensive clinic and he finished the game with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Felipe Reyes led Real Madrid in scoring with 14 points and he also added 5 rebounds. Eddy Tavares added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Doncic was in “human mode” and contributed with 11 points and 4 assists.
Not enough: Pierre Jackson reached his career-high with 29 points while Parakhouski added 16 points and 8 boards. Those two gave to Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv a 50-48 halftime lead, but couldn’t keep up.
