During an interview for the “Pick N’ Roll” show on Greek Cosmote TV channel, Dusan Ivkovic expressed his great admiration for Zeljko Obradovic, naming him the top coach in Europe, “by far”.

The legendary Serbian coach, two-time EuroLeague champion and winner of countless titles medals with his country’s national team also revealed a story from the past about Giannis Antetokounmpo and spoke about potential No. 1 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft Luka Doncic.

Here’s what Duda said on:

Zeljko Obradovic:

“He’s is by far the best coach in Europe. Ι believe that no one else is close to his coaching level. I respect all coaches and I ask them to excuse me but I believe no one is close to Zoc. He is born for that.

As for Fenerbahce, it’s extremely hard to cover Ekpe Udoh and Bogdan Bogdanovic. The first one was amazing on defense and the other is a big offensive player of the top level. But I’m sure Zeljko will find a way to prepare them (Fenerbahce) and they will be ready to go in spring for the big games.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo:

“When I first saw him playing for Filathlitikos youth team it was so obvious that he’s a huge NBA talent. I have a great relationship with Mr. Titos Komninos (Anadolu Efes board member) and I told him: Go and take that kid to Anadolu Efes. Then someone from Efes came. He said he (Antetokounmpo) is good but they have many players like Giannis.”

Luka Doncic and the comparisons with Toni Kukoc:

“He’s a phenomenon. Drazen Petrovic played “1” and Toni Kukoc also as “4”. I believe that neither of them played so maturely when they were 18, as Doncic plays now.”
