Real Madrid had an easy win against Khimki and coach Georgios Bartzokas wasn’t happy about the game and the fine his team almost receive: “It’s very difficult for the team to concentrate on a EuroLeague game after what happened two days ago. That’s the truth. But please, respect that cannot make comments about this. Madrid played a solid game and of course, they deserve the win. For us, it was a difficult night. We had just one forward and that’s difficult against a team that has Tavares. We missed the rebounds, 15 more possessions. We played without confidence missing free throws, missing a lot of layups and giving the chance to Madrid to hit on transition”.
On the other hand, Real Madrid‘s coach Pablo Laso was pleased with their defensive effort: “We had a very solid performance from the first minute. Our first half was very good defensively and I think that the job that we did with Shved -Yusta, Rudy and Taylor- was great. We controlled the boards and the rhythm of the game. We got the advantage in the first half and we played very smartly in the second. I’m happy for the victory and also because we recovered the 6-point that we lost in Madrid against them”.
