It’s a first time for Charles Jenkins to play in Crvena Zvezda‘s arena “Aleksandar Nikolic” as a member of the other team.
The American earned his European reputation playing in the Serbian club, but this time he will be Zvezda’s opponent. Beside that Zvezda’s fans love him as he is one of their favourites, foreign players.
“It’s a strange feeling. I walked through the lockerrooms, but this time I am in the visitor’s one. The locker room looks the same, but it is further than the old one.”. said Charles to the Serbian press upon arriving at Belgrade.
“It is just a game, but it is strange. I played too many games here and I will feel good on the court. I saw when Vasilije Micic and Vladimir Stimac came back how the crowd reacted. I hope the crowd will be loud when they hear my name”.
Both Micic and Stimac received Zvezda’s jersey when they were playing in Belgrade and Jenkins hopes the same.
“They now have these new good looking jersey, I would love to get one to take home to my parents”, finished Jenkins.
