While Khimki Moscow blew away Olympiacos at home and grabbed one of its biggest victories in the EuroLeague season so far, head coach Giorgos Bartzokas stated that this game wasn’t any more significant than the previous or the next that his team has to play.

“I don’t believe that one game is more important than the other,” Bartzokas said in the post-game presser. “We need to focus on the game ahead of us. All games are important in EuroLeague. The game in Belgrade, today’s game and the Sunday’s VTB game in Krasnodar. Everybody has to understand that it’s not easy for the teams to play three or four crucial games in 8-9 days, including the game against Real Madrid.”

“It’s not easy for the players to play with this kind of pressure that basketball has in Europe. It’s (Europe) not like the NBA. Everybody thinks that when you lose, it’s like a disaster. We try to handle this, my coaching staff and the organization. We are looking to the next game. We are positive. We just need to have Thomas Robinson back. He’s one of the best rebounders in EuroLeague. I have to give credit to the players for getting so many wins without him. It’s very important.” Bartzokas also said.

“He (Robinson) went to the States to evaluate the situation with his doctor. We’ll have news in two or three days,” Bartzokas added.

When asked if he had any special motivation for facing one of his former teams, Bartzokas mentioned that: “It was a special game, it always is when I play against former teams. Like Olympiacos or Lokomotiv Kuban. I have a great feeling about these clubs.  It wasn’t a special motivation. We are professionals. I left Olympiacos and Khimki is my third team since I left. More or less, I manage to forget this. I didn’t have any extra motivation. I have great emotions about the club, for Olympiacos, but I’m always motivated and always dedicated to my team. And my team deserved a lot today Big credit to my players.”
