Crvena Zvezda signed Slovenian center Alen Omic with a contract for the remainder of the season, the club officially announced.
The 25-year-old big guy and 2017 EuroCup champion with Unicaja Malaga last played for Hapoel Jerusalem. He averaged 8 points and 4.4 rebounds during 17 minutes per game, in 10 matches of the 2017-2018 EuroCup regular season.
With the reigning ABA League champions, Omic will return to EuroLeague where he has also played with Union Olmpija and Anadolu Efes.
“I believe this is the biggest challenge of my career,” Omic said in an interview for the club’s official website.
Crvena Zvezda is currently 7 – 12 in EuroLeague and 12 – 4 in ABA League.
