Giannakopoulos has appealed the decision about his 12-months ban and he has also asked for the ban to be lifted until there’s a final verdict on his case.
However, the EuroLeague informed him that he will not be able to attend the game and Giannakopoulos reacted swiftly in his Instagram account in which he wrote about him taking legal action which will lead some who speaks Spanish to jail. This can be considered a warning towards the EuroLeague brass, which is located in Barcelona, Spain.
According to EuroLeague’s bylaws, a heavy fine will be the punishment of Panathinaikos, if Giannakopoulos is present tomorrow at OAKA. To be exact a fine up to 280.000 euros can be imposed.
