Ahead of the game against Olympiacos, Valencia’s head coach Txus Vidorreta evaluated the recovery of Latavious Williams, Sam van Rossom and Guillem Vives and also discussed the disappointing run in the Copa del Rey where the team lost to Tenerife in the quarterfinals.
“We played like sh–it in Las Palmas. We have a squad to have reached the semifinals and this is a great disappointment this season. We also have done good things such as stand second in the league, having won the Super Cup or competing in a situation of great difficulty against the best teams in Europe“, Vidorreta said per Superdeporte.
Vidorreta talked about the physical situation of the team. Tibor Pleiss will travel to Piraeus but they have “caution with his fascitis“. Latavious Williams could start training with the first team on Sunday while the good news is Sam Van Rossom’s evolution, according to Las Provincias:
“Sam is doing a great job. He is in Belgium and returns on the 27th for a revision. We are all very hopeful because he is doing work that we could not even imagine what he could be doing at this point. Guillem (Vives) had a muscle overload last week but the individual work he is doing this week is getting better“.
