Olympiacos Piraeus finalized a deal with American guard and former EuroLeague “Alphonso Ford Top Scorer” winner Bobby Brown for the remainder of the season, according to Eurohoops sources.
The three-time EuroLeague champions were in the market for a guard who will provide “quality” and “give something extra” to the team according to head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos, following the loss in the Greek Cup Final. Brown was among the top names on the list of candidates the club compiled.
The 33-year-old American player, who is currently in Houston, received the offer of Olympiacos and, as Eurohoops confirmed, he signed the contract.
Brown’s EuroLeague experience includes an impressive 2012-2013 campaign when he was named Top Scorer in EuroLeague after averaging 18.8 points (in addition to 5.3 assists) with Montepaschi Siena. He last played with the Houston Rockets before getting waived in early January.
Throughout his career, Brown has played for such NBA teams as Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Hornets and the L.A. Clippers. His previous European stint was with Besiktas, Turkey near the end of the 2015-2016.
