CSKA Moscow grabbed win #19 in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague against Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv with 93-73 on Day 24.
The Army team was paced to the victory by Nando De Colo. The French guard finished with 19 points, four assists and two steals, as well as 27 points of efficiency – the highest in the game.
CSKA‘s backcourt was completely dominant throughout the game and managed to win the battle against the hosts through solid defense and perspicacity on the offensive end. Apart from De Colo, Cory Higgins and Leo Westermann completed the picture with 16 and 8 points each.
Notably, the Russians exceeded their average steals, with 13 overall in the Tel Aviv battle (3 of which were made by Kyle Hines).
Although Norris Cole tried to pace the Israeli team back to the game, his attempt was to no avail, as with three minutes to go, Higgins pushed the deficit to 17 points (82-65) and practically sealed the final result.
The winners move up to a 19-5 record and can rest assured on top, while Maccabi has to give its best in the remaining games in order to stay in the playoffs picture with a current record of 12-12.
