Barcelona is preparing for a quite challenging battle against Olympiacos on the road for Round 24 of the EuroLeague Regular Season. It’s a match of no particular importance to the Blaugrana, that are already eliminated from the playoffs race, but the Reds really need a win.
Hence why Barcelona head coach Svetislav Pesic believes that it will be an extremely difficult match. In fact, the Serbian coach went as far as using this game an example of why he thinks that EuroLeague is similar to the competitiveness in the… NBA playoffs.
“In the EuroLeague, every game is played to death, every game is played to win. We play against teams that fight for goals, either to enter the playoff or finish in the top four. It’s not like the NBA. For me, the EuroLeague is more interesting, more fighting, like in the NBA playoffs,” Pesic said per Mundo Deportivo.
