Brose Bamberg got the job done against Anadolu Efes. After the game coach, Ataman and Branchi shared their thoughts on the game.

Bamberg‘s coach was asked to compare the atmosphere of Bamberg with that of Italy’s and he said the following: Italians are a bit different. In my initial approach, watching the gym, the fans and the support they have for the team, from the beginning until the end is so polite and great. I do not want to compare it with Sienna, Torino or Milano. The people are a bit different.

Moreover, head coach Luka Banchi was happy with his team’s win. “I’m very happy to be here. A good game, important win, no matter the record of Bamberg or Efes. Both teams played the game seriously because we want to be better. I am proud for the result and how we approached the game. We improved and increased the consistency on defense. On rebounding, we did an excellent job to contain their athleticism. We shared the ball, okay but we had too many turnovers. We will improve on that aspect very soon. In the end, we got a win we deserved.”

Luka Mitrovic injured his knee early on in the game against Efes and had to exit. His coach shares how serious this injury is for him: “He was afraid. When he came back on the court, after half-time he checked with the doctors. They believed it was better to not continue playing. We will see tomorrow about the next game.

On the other hand, Ergin Ataman stated that the game was lost in the third period: In the first half, it was a close game. “We started the game well. Especially in the second quarter, with bench players, we lost our advantage and Brose started taking the control of the game. We made a mistake with the low post defense, McCollum made a lot of mistakes. It was a close game and I think we lost the game at the beginning of the third quarter with the 10-o run. We tried to come back but we played bad defensively in every quarter.”
