Real Madrid head coach Pablo Laso revealed that the recovery of 2017 EuroLeague MVP Sergio Llull has progressed well enough that it won’t be long until he returns to action
“I used to say months but we already forgot that word. We can think about weeks or days. That’s good but there is no specific date or game for his return. We want him to be fit, to feel safe and we also want to feel safe with him. That’s going to be easier,” Laso said per Marca.
Regarding Luka Doncic who has been sidelined for more than 10 days, Laso mentioned that it’s possible to see him back on the court against Valencia, Tuesday (20/3).
“He’s better,” Laso said on Doncic. “It’s the first day he’s been able to do something with the rest of the group. I don’t want to be optimistic or pessimistic but in these muscular injuries it’s dangerous to start prematurely. He will travel with the team and we will decide.”
Doncic, the potential no. 1 pick in the NBA Draft has missed the EuroLeague games vs. Panathinaikos and Olimpia Milano.
