Real Madrid guard and reigning EuroLeague MVP Sergio Llull is patiently counting the days for his return to action. He doesn’t know exactly when the exact timeframe yet, but one thing is for certain: That there’s no way he won’t play in the Final Four if his team advances.
“If we make the Final Four, I won’t miss it for sure,” Llull said to EFE, per Marca. “For that (Final Four) there’s more than a month left. But you have to go little by little, step by step. It wouldn’t be good for the team to rush things and try to bring me back sooner.”
The Spanish superstar says that his recovery is progressing quite optimally. “I’m pretty much better. The knee is responding well. You still have to be a little patient because it’s a complicated injury. I am working hard to be back as soon and better as possible.”
Llull had been sidelined since last summer following an ACL rupture he sustained in a prep game of Spain vs. Belgium.
