For three quarters the defending champs were sleepwalking against Unicaja Malaga, but even when they decided to play, the guests managed to beat them in overtime.

Behind 31 points and eight assists by Nemanja Nedovic, Unicaja got the 94-87 win by dominating in overtime. Still, it was a defeat that didn’t change much for Fenerbahce Dogus which finished the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season with 21 wins and the second sport of the standings.

The guests led for three quarters (22-14, 47-36, 59-51). However, the last period started with a 13-0 run and Fenerbahce got the 64-59 lead. James Nunnally scored eight of his 19 points during this run, Kostas Sloukas was the top scorer of Fenerbahce with 26 points and the defending champs got the upper hand momentarily.

Unicaja managed to tie the score at 69 with three minutes left after a three by Adam Waczynki (18 p.) and even got an 80-76 lead.  Fenerbahce came back again and got the 81-80 lead, Albero Diaz answered with a three (83-81) and Sloukas with a tip-in at the buzzer tied the score at 83 and send the game to overtime.

In theory, Fenerbahce should have the momentum after the comeback, but that was not the case, despite the fact that they played at home.

Unicaja scored 16 points in the extra five minutes and Fenerbahce after a good fourth quarter was again unable to contain Nedovic. The former EuroCup champs finished their EuroLeague season on a high note, even if a 13-17 record was far from enough in order to make it to the playoffs.
