According to Panathinaikos, Vatutin was supportive of Giannakopoulos demand to be able to watch his team play official games, but his words were not translated in a proper way during the meeting.
From his side, Vatutin said publicly that “common sense should prevail” and CSKA Moscow confirmed that there was a telephone call between the two managements after that meeting.
According to the Russian club: “CSKA management remains in constant contact and discusses current questions with colleagues from all Euroleague clubs, and PAO is not an exception”.
