After taking a 2 – 0 lead in the EuroLeague playoff series against Baskonia with two wins at home, Fenerbahce head coach Zeljko Obradovic wants to see his team making the sweep in Vitoria.
For that to happen, Zoc asks his players to clear their minds from what took place in Istanbul and channel their focus solely on Game 3 (Tuesday, 24/4)
“In the playoffs it is always important to react, to prepare ourselves for the next game, to forget everything that happened before and to understand that we are one step from being in the Final Four,” Obradovic said. “This is our first opportunity. Baskonia is a very good team. They will have the support of their fans. But like always we must care about ourselves, prepare in the best possible way and try to play a good game. ”
Fenerbahce center Ahmet Duverioglu expects Baskonia to give everything for a reaction in front of its home crowd.
“We protected our home court and came to Vitoria with a 2-0 lead. But we know that this playoff series is not over yet and Baskonia is a great team. They always play good at Fernando Buesa Arena and it is clear that they will try to react tomorrow. We have to play good defense and control the rhythm of the game. All we want is to get one more win to reach the Final Four.”
