The coach of Fenerbache Dogus Istanbul Zeljko Obradovic wasn’t happy the way his team used fouls in the first half.
“It was a very good game. We knew Baskonia will be very aggressive, especially in the defense. Some minutes of our bad game in the second quarter when we didn’t have problems with fouls, allowed Baskonia to score easy points. Because of that, they build a very important lead in the first half.”, said Obradovic.
The Serbian coach was satisfied with the way his players reacted in the second half despite the loss. “In the second half, we changed. We played very well in the third quarter, but at the start of the last quarter, we played bad again. Congratulations to Baskonia, they deserved to win the game but also to my players because they tried to do everything”, concluded Obradovic.
On the other side, Pedro Martinez was happy with a team effort. “It was a very hard game against a team that always has the ability to come back to the game. Their players are always threatening and they are always prepared tactically both on offense and defense. We needed to be prepared and I’m very happy that we had five players that scored in double figures. We suffered in defense, but we were able to hold on”, said the Spanish coach.
